MINOS code management
The MINOS code repository at Indiana
The CVS program for code version control
is now up and running at Indiana.
List of the modules defined in the MINOS repository
Any of the defined modules may be checked out from the
repository. Just follow the sequence of instructions
detailed in the link below called "How to get GMINOS",
substituting the name of the desired module in place of `gminos'.

Major program components of the MINOS simulations package
-
GMINOS - GEANT-based detector simulation
Instructions for
building two GMINOS executables, a batch version and an
interactive version with event display, are included in
the README file that comes along with the `gminos' module.

NEUGEN
The NEUGEN neutrino interaction event generator is
available as a stand-alone program, and has now also been
interfaced with GMINOS to serve as one of the possible modes
of event generation.

-
STDHEP and LUND library routines
The source code and Makefiles necessary to construct the STDHEP and
LUND libraries needed by GMINOS are available as the `misc' module.
-
OSCNU - neutrino oscillation probabilities
The source code, Makefile, and author's documentation for three-
generation neutrino oscillation probabilities computation is contained
in the `mixing' module. Executing the Makefile produces a library
file, `liboscnu.a', which can be linked with GMINOS or with a
post-GMINOS analysis program.
Author's notes on OSCNU code
-
RECO_MINOS - analysis program shell for using GMINOS output
The `reco_minos' program reads in ADAMO gaf files produced by
GMINOS. Actual analysis routines must be supplied by the user.
More help with installing MINOS software
Jeff Nelson's (extensive) notes
on the installation procedure for MINOS software at U of Minn.
These, with minor modifications for local specifics, can serve as
general guidelines.
